 reaKtor

Welcome to my Reaktor ensemble archive.

The ensembles here are just a small subset of my total Reaktor bestiary. I am updating old ensembles for inclusion here, so make sure to check back from time to time for new uploads. Alternately, you can go to the Reaktor user library and search for "rachmiel" and "rick scott" (a close associate of mine).

A Note on my Reaktor Ensembles

I am very interested in the outer realms of musical expression, sounds that arise when one pushes boundaries beyond their limits of conventional taste and balance. In almost all my ensembles, I use controlled randomization to get to these strange, mysterious places that one would rarely (if ever) get to by manual patching. I encourage you to do the same.

Monstrums

fruNobulax - extreme fm ooglitude
Rodan - truly horrendous
The Blob - joy of 60s sci-fi
The Fly - abstract sonic flitulation
The Shadow - sbugi synth knows what you need

Synths

BIG - a study in sheer hugeness of sound
disTorsis - good for filthy leads and noiseJoy
kLangulator - klangorous fm synth in search of a horror movie
l'iL fM - small but sturdy fm synth
l'iL fM v2 - enhanced version of above
maNifold - plays a manifold of notes for every incoming midi note
Metallo - sonic chrome for your aural selbstSchadenFreude
Water Organ - an additive organ with up to 12 different harmonics

Usage

All my ensembles are copylefted. Feel free to copy, modify, and distribute them however you wish, as long as it's for noncommercial purposes. If you want to use any of them commercially, email me and we'll work something out. Likewise if you would like to hire me to customize an existing ensemble or to create a new one on spec.

If you would like to make a contribution to acknowledge my ensemble-creation work, you can paypal $10, $20, $50, ... (whatever seems appropriate) to rachmiel@hotmail.com. I appreciate any level of contribution, because it makes me feel that you value the hard work I put into creating and maintaining these ensembles for the Reaktor community
